PPG INHIBISIL® Silica Anti-Corrosion Pigments

PPG INHIBISIL® silica anti-corrosion pigments are highly-efficient, calcium oxide-modified silica products designed to replace conventional chrome-based and other toxic anti-corrosion pigments.

Engineered for use in thin-film polyester melamine (solvent-borne), urethane (solvent-borne), and epoxy (waterborne) primers. Inhibisil anti-corrosion pigments are non-toxic, chemically inert,  and compatible with other anti-corrosion additives.  They also disperse easily and are highly resistant to over-grind.

Typical applications for PPG Inhibisil anti-corrosion pigments include:

• Appliance finishes
• Metal furniture finishes
• Coil coatings
• Heavy-duty equipment coatings
• Aircraft coatings
